Delicious layers of tortilla, bønnestuing, seasoned beef, salsa and melted cheese. This meal, which is inspired by Mexico, will surely appeal.
4-6 people:
450 g beef
225 g ready-made salsa
1 teaspoon fine crushed cumin powder
2 bx brown beans
4 large tortillas
225 g grated Jarlsberg
Sour cream and chopped spring onion are served with the tortillas.
Brown patty dough in a frying pan, or a saucepan, at medium heat. Stir in salsa and cumin powder. Let the beans drain in a sieve, and crush them with a fork in a bowl.
Place two tortillas in 11 inch, and butter on half of the crushed beans. Add on half of the meat mixture, and sprinkle with 50 g of cheese. It would be wise to spread the crushed beans to the tortilla before you lay it on the cheese. Repeat the process.
Replace the lid and place the pan at medium heat. When it clicks, turn down to low heat. Let the pan continue for about 20-25 minutes. If you use the oil pan, set the temperature at 130 degrees until it clicks, then down to 90 degrees. The tortillas will be ready in 20-25 minutes.
Serve with green onions and sour cream.
Variations:
You can replace cumin with taco seasoning. Vegetarian - replace the patty dough with 450 g of cooked white rice. You can also substitute chopped spring onion with coriander.
